Trees don’t cry
they sing!
to the listening ear
they will serenade their welcome song.

Sing a soothing tune if you are sad
wish you happy cheer
bring memories of darling dear
with a whiff of fresh breeze.

If you tune up to a higher frequency
you will hear music from an orchestra
hidden amid the dense forest of trees
joined by symphonic strains of rocks and stones.

Unable to restrain your steps
with abandon you begin to dance
fixed yet not fixed in your still centre
wherefrom and whereto radiating in utter calm,

Breathlessly spinning around, arms and head moving
as your tribal ancestors did on strumming sound
to pray in their jungle days oblivious of passing of time
utterly lost in harmony sublime.
