About the Book

In his fifth collection of verses entitled ‘Subtle Truths’, O.P. Ranchan continues with his pioneering effort at creating poetry that sets out perennial themes of happiness, joy, love, integration, freedom and spiritual growth, harmony and peace. His canvas is very vast; it covers the whole of life, the problems involved in living. Such a feat has never been done before, and in diction that is simple direct, non conceptual and non-symbolical.

Ranchan’s poetry is a poetry of deep observations, delineation and analysis offering illuminations and elucidations of things relating to man, life and growth.

The poet appears conversing addressing monoloqueing exhorting assuming different voices and tones. His poetry is close to T.S. Eliots model of impersonal poetry sans technique. On the whole in the form of direct utterance, Ranchan’s poetry is psycho-spiritual in content, it is full of psychological subtleties perceptions and inights.

About the Book

Poetry, in any form, is an extension of our ancient scriptures. Poetry can never be classified as good or bad, for it is divine. Critiquing divinity is a sin that attracts only hatred. In My Dazzling Bards I wrote about my poets and their select works. They are all my teachers, for I got ample opportunity to learn from their renditions.
